Dear EPOS Members,
Dear Colleagues and Friends,
It is a great honour to serve as the 32nd President of EPOS, an organisation that continues to lead the way in paediatric musculoskeletal care and education throughout Europe and beyond.
EPOS has long been a beacon for paediatric orthopaedic surgeons, fostering a strong sense of community while advancing our shared mission: to improve the lives of children through evidence-based care, innovation, and international collaboration. We are all privileged to work in a field where the impact of our efforts can last a lifetime - restoring function, mobility, and quality of life for children and their families.
As President, and with the help and guidance of my dear friends and colleagues in the Presidential Line - Ralph Sakkers, Andreas Roposch, and Carol Hasler - we are all committed to continuing to build upon the remarkable legacy of our society. Our priorities remain focused on supporting clinical excellence, promoting high-quality research, expanding educational opportunities for trainees and specialists, and strengthening global partnerships that elevate standards of care.
This website is your gateway to EPOS: a place to stay informed about upcoming congresses and educational activities, access learning resources, connect with peers, and engage with our initiatives. Whether you are a long-standing member or a new visitor, I encourage you to explore what EPOS has to offer and to become an active part of our dynamic and growing community.
Together, we will continue to shape the future of paediatric orthopaedics - guided by compassion, driven by science, and united by a common purpose: advancing care for children across Europe and around the world.
The EPOS 43rd Annual Meeting held in Toulouse was a great success, combining high-quality scientific content with impeccable organisation, and setting a new record of over 900 participants. It has raised the bar for our future meetings. I would like to acknowledge, congratulate, and thank Franck Accadbled for a job well done!
Please mark your calendars for the 44th EPOS Annual Meeting, which will be held in Seville, Spain, from Wednesday 8 April to Friday 10 April 2026. I have no doubt that our local host, David Farrington, and his team will prepare an unforgettable event.
Our new independent office, under the leadership of Ms Ceylan Tokgöz, Association Director, and Ms Sanni Hiltunen, Education & Business Development Director, is committed to delivering a high standard of service to you, our EPOS members. Please feel free to contact them directly should you require any assistance.
Please know that I am always open and available to all EPOS members. Your ideas, concerns, and aspirations are vital to the strength and progress of our society. I welcome your engagement and look forward to working with each of you.
Warmest regards,
Dror Ovadia, MD
EPOS President (2025-2026)
