TRANSALPINE CENTER OF PEDIATRIC SPORTS MEDICINE AND SURGERY
6TH CONFERENCE

The Transalpine Center of Pediatric Sports Medicine and Surgery presents its 6th conference, focused on in-depth analysis of ACL injuries in young female football players. Within a rapidly evolving clinical landscape, this event serves a primarily educational purpose: to facilitate the exchange of scientific and clinical experiences among multidisciplinary specialists. The core objective is to share knowledge regarding female-specific risk factors – anatomical, hormonal, and psychosocial – and to discuss various surgical and rehabilitative options. By providing a platform for sharing between surgeons, researchers, and trainers, we aim to update the professional expertise of participants, fostering a shared understanding for supporting young athletes throughout their treatment and return to sport.

Advanced Principles of External Fixation in Complex Foot Deformities is a unique, hands-on course designed to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of the various external fixation frames used in the correction of complex foot deformities. The program emphasises practical learning through extensive hands-on sessions using sawbones models, allowing surgeons to gain familiarity with specific fixation frames tailored to different deformity types. In addition, cadaveric workshops will offer participants the opportunity to explore surgical approaches and osteotomy techniques in a realistic setting.

While many courses cover general principles of external fixation, this course stands out by focusing exclusively on foot deformities, offering a highly specialised and practice-oriented experience aimed at enhancing participants’ clinical and surgical expertise.
