Community, career development and collaboration: The benefits of joining EPOS

EPOS is the leading European association dedicated to bringing together paediatric orthopaedic care providers. Our overarching mission is to enhance the quality of care for children with orthopaedic conditions. We do this in a number of ways:

  • We foster communication among professionals involved in paediatric care
  • We improve education for those dedicated to children's well-being
  • We promote the sharing and dissemination of medical knowledge and advancements

Community of peers

We believe that collaboration is key to improving the understanding and treatment of paediatric orthopaedic conditions. As an EPOS member, you join a supportive community of peers. Whether you are an early-career surgeon or an experienced specialist in your field, there is a place for you at EPOS.

From meeting international colleagues at your first BAT Course, to discussing the latest research over a cup of coffee at our Annual Meeting, EPOS brings together paediatric orthopaedic surgeons from across Europe and beyond.

Making new connections and building your professional network in a friendly and supportive setting sets the foundations for future knowledge exchange and collaboration.

Continuous education

Education is a core pillar of EPOS, and our educational activities are designed to support you at every stage of your career. Early-career members benefit greatly from our foundational BAT (Basic-Advanced-Trauma) courses, as well as access to prestigious FEPOS Fellowships across Europe, and international Travelling Fellowships in collaboration with POSNA and SLAOTI.

Professional development is a life-long endeavour, and EPOS members continue to learn and deepen their knowledge in a number of ways, whether it is attending Advanced Courses focused on sub-specialities, collaborating in Study Groups, or contributing to important scientific research.

Close collaboration

Like any professional society, we rely on the active engagement of our members to achieve our ambitious goals. In fact, our members are what make EPOS: they shape our educational activities, enhance scientific research, and drive international collaboration.

Join EPOS today and become part of an innovative community dedicated to advancing paediatric orthopaedics worldwide!
