Episode 19: EPOS-POSNA Travelling Fellows 2025

The EPOS Travelling Fellowship is a fantastic exchange programme that’s organised in collaboration between the European Paediatric Orthopaedic Society (EPOS) and the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America (POSNA), and between EPOS and the Sociedad Latinoamericana de Ortopedia y Traumatologia  Infantil (SLAOTI).

These travelling fellowships provide a unique opportunity for young paediatric orthopaedic surgeons to gain international exposure, exchange knowledge, and boost their professional profile.

Right now, EPOS is accepting applications for next year’s fellowship that will take orthopaedic surgeons from Europe to spend two weeks with their fellow counter parts in North America.

Host Darius Rad, a previous Travelling Fellow himself, has invited Inês Balacó, the EPOS Councillor who is leading the programme, and the 2025 Travelling Fellows Ali Seker and Marco Odorizzi to share their experience and provide a practical insight into what it’s like to be a travelling fellow.

Tune in to this episode to find out what makes travelling fellowships such a special experience, the idea behind this cultural and scientific exchange programme, and how you can get involved.
